Based on the Classic Traveller rules set, this book has been streamlined for modern roleplaying, and yet still retains that unmistakable Traveller aura. With complete rules for character and world creation, spaceships, encounters and trading, it is your gateway into new universes.
The Traveller Main Rulebook is the cornerstone of all your Traveller games, to be expanded upon with core supplements such as Mercenary and High Guard, or used with different settings like Starship Troopers, Judge Dredd and, of course, the Original Traveller Universe.

| 4 + 4 | Ravenpolar | Traveller Core Rulebook. A modern take on a classic system. [ Read Review ] |
| 4 + 4 | wheloc | Traveller Core Rulebook. The career-path based character creation is the best part of this game, but that's hardly faint praise. The lifepath system is an excellent combination of choice and randomness, while the rest of the system gives you what you need to play a decent sci-fi game. [ Read Review ] |

| 5 / 10 | Ars Mysteriorum | I'm a newcomer, and I really want to like this game. However, character creation is a bit unclear to me and seems not very well explained. I haven't felt compelled to page through this book in my leisure time, which I think speaks of my feelings for it. |
| 7 / 10 | ShannonA | Definitely an old school RPG, but it's got just enough polish to run well. Sadly, there are also a few rough edges, such as a character-generation system that isn't outlined well enough to make it intuitive and the lack of a real experience system. |
