Based on the movie, Ghostbusters uses a D6 dice pool system and has a strong feel of the smart-alec satire of the movie, with loads of silly comedy.
The box set came with two books, some character and inventory cards and six-sided dice, including a ghost die: a special six sided die that replaces one of the sides (the 6-pip in early printings and the 1-pip in later printings) with the Ghostbuster symbol and indicates a dramatic failure.

| 5 / 10 | Simple Man | Still a fun little game after all these years. |
| 7 / 10 | TrippyHippy | Significant for being the first major dicepool system (D6), and also for establishing the principles of a 'rules lite' system, as well as showing how to do a non-traditional, licensed setting well. The longevity of the game's sales has obviously waned as the movie fan base moved on, but it's influence in RPG design is still keenly felt. |
