Cartoon Action Hour: Season 2 is the second edition of the game that was nominated for "Best Role-Playing Game" at the 2003 Origins Award ceremony. Completely revised, CAH:S2 is not just a universal RPG accompanied by genre-appropriate artwork. Every facet of the game was designed to flawlessly emulate the action-adventure cartoons of the 1980s, using "cartoon logic" as the foundation.
Notes on This Edition

| 9 / 10 | walkerp | I have yet to play this, but in reading CAH: S2 is a beautiful genre construction, wrapped elegantly around the saturday morning cartoon series. It has an excellent balance of open-ended traits and crunch that allow for player creative freedom and GM structure. It's also wonderfully laid out, with lots of bright colours, evocative illustrations and energetic sidebars. If you are a fan of saturday morning cartoons, this is an absolute must-have. If you are a fan of elegant design and genre emulation, you should probably get it as well. |
