Tunnels & Trolls,
KoK players take on the role of sneaky and vicious humanoids instead of valorous humans and demihumans. Characters can choose to be a black hobbit, red orc, or cave troll; and a wizard, rogue, or warrior. The basic attack mechanic is 1dX plus a 0, 1/2 HD, or HD plus weapon bonus. All attack rolls from a single side of a melee are added together to determine the winning side, and the difference between the two sets of rolls is distributed as damage between the characters on the losing side. Other checks use 1d20 plus level (and sometimes move) compared to a target number. Uses damage resistance instead of armor class.
