Game Summary
Amber is a ruleset for roleplaying in the world of Roger Zelazny's Amber novels. Players take on the roles of scions of the ruling family of Amber, the one true World of which all others, including our own modern Earth, are merely Shadows.

The setting is very Byzantine, with a focus on intrigue, elaborate politics, and personal relationships. Given time to manipulate "Shadow", PCs in the game have almost unlimited power, and are only checked by quick (often physical) opposition, their player's imaginations, and others with the same or similar powers. As a result the rules are more guidelines than strictures, and became the first widely popular diceless adjudication system. Despite only one supplement, the game was supported for years by an enthusiatic fan base and a number of Amber-specific gaming conventions. Wujcik's interpretation of the Amber series is very gameable, but not purely canonical.
