FGU's V&V is a short (48 pp) and sweet superhero RPG. Random power generationn on large and totally unbalanced powers tables, and the idea that you should play yourself embued with super powers, lent itself to creating wildly unbalanced parties. Which, surpriSingly, never seemed to make the game less fun.
The rules are sprinkled liberally with great comic art and examples of game play

| 4 + 4 | grubman | VILLAINS & VIGILANTES. With the rise in popularity of Supers games, it only seems right to tip our hat to V&V, the game that started it all! These many years later, you might be surpised at how playable (and fun!) this game still is! [ Read Review ] |

| 10 / 10 | michaeltaylor | Does superheroes more faithfully than any other game in far less rules with far better adventures. Best RPG ever. |
| 6 / 10 | RadioKen | Surprisingly playable given the inelegance of the rules. Some of my fondest gaming memories come from the V&V campaigns of my high school and undergraduate years. |
