A book of GM advice. It opens with 80 pages of general advice, covering the essentials: selecting a game system, bringing the PCs together, adventure design tips, running a session, and adventure endings. This is followed by essays by guest contributors. Each essay is roughly 5 pages long, and focuses on a particular topic: genre emulation, research, villains, maps, women gamers, children gamers, etc.

This is the second edition of Gamemastering Secrets. It is a hardback book, illustrated with Dork Tower strips by John Kovalic.
