"Ancient gods and modern myths rub shoulders in night clubs, ghosts and goblins ride the subway and the faeries are ready to rock and roll!"
Dreaming Cities explores the genre of urban fantasy using the Tri-Stat mechanics. The mechanics section includes the whole Tri-Stat system, as well as suggestions on customizing it to fit the genre. Three mini-settings round out the book: The Nightmare Chronicles, in which select people find themselves imbued with the power to fight demons entering the world; The World at Twilight, detailing a city where stories come to life and interweave with reality; and The Small Folk, a pastiche on "little people" stories, as well as White Wolf roleplaying games.

| 5 + 4 | Vessiel | Dreaming Cities. Dreaming Cities includes exceptional advice for creating plots and settings in the Urban Fantasy genre as well as a complete rulesset and 3 good settings, including the brilliant Small Folk. [ Read Review ] |
| 3 + 3 | Moritz | Dreaming Cities. Boring to read and too many options that make you feel lost. I had expected much more from this. [ Read Review ] |

| 7 / 10 | Mechante_Anemone | Nice toolbox, great to get the creative juices flowing. Some interesting settings. Helps one expand from certain tropes into wider, more creative world- and campaign-building. |
| 6 / 10 | DrFaust | It's good, but not great. The mini-settings don't really speak to me and the Tri-Stat system is pretty much take it or leave it. I did enjoy the discussion of urban fantasy and the general tropes and conventions. |
