Using the GURPS 3rd Edition rule set, Transhuman space is a science-fiction role-playing game that explores biology, genetics, nanotechnology, artificial intelligence and future sciences to create a vibrant "possible future" setting. Transhuman Space is a "hard" sci-fi game that strives to maintain the plausible over the impossible. Completely set within the solar system, with no faster-than-light travel or alien races - yet, all the more compelling for the avoidance of those standard sci-fi tropes.

| 5 + 5 | Jürgen Hubert | Transhuman Space. Too many SF RPG settings don't bother to ask the truely difficult - and interesting - questions. This one does. [ Read Review ] |
| 4 + 5 | Robert A. Rodger | Transhuman Space. The much anticipated launch of near future science-fiction gaming, Transhuman Space is a rich and exciting setting, and the core rule book provides a hearty overview of the places, technologies and, most importantly, the ideas to get a game started. | 8 / 10 | Geburah | This setting strikes me as an incredible attempt to present a credible future - an intricate, complex setting full of inspiring details. However, I feel the game world can be difficult to sum up and present to prospective players, and the sheer amount of possibilities offered by the make it difficult to settle on one area/theme to play in. |
| 8 / 10 | Eggwhite | Fantastic book - the only problem I found with it was that the scope was so broad and the setting so open and rich that it took me a fair while to work out how to use it without completely boggling my players and losing them to future shock! |
