You are a Journeyer, a wanderer in the multidream whose purpose it is to see what lies over that next hill, what strange customs exist in the next city, what bizarre creatures live beyond the next violet rift...
In Rêve: The Dream Ouroboros, all worlds and their inhabitants are dreamed by an inaccessible race of dragons. Just as a nightmare can wake the dreamer in a cold sweat, so too can the dreamed affect the Dreaming. Rêve adventures are set in the discordant Third Age where the dragons’ restless dreams have created a fragmented multiverse of parallel worlds.
Flexible character generation lets you play the persona you want. The elegant system covers everything from casting a spell to sailing a ship to picking a lock or writing a play—all resolved on a single table. Detailed playable rules include everything from fatigue to poisons, music to combat.
High Dreamers enter a trance state and travel the Dreamlands to cast spells. Manipulating the stuff of dream has its perils and rewards: High Dreamers are beleaguered by Dragon Tails, Breaths, and Necromantic Shadows but can also gain Dragon Gifts. Learn how to interpret Draconic signs, master the seven meditations, and develop new spells and rituals.
Encounter (or even play) mysterious blue cyan, drolls with their Evil Eye ability, gigants, mockturtles, repviles, saurians and sylvans, among others: 14 original humanoid species in all. The bestiary includes animals from the dangerous bane to the horrific ghûl, from the sibylline oracle bird to the terrible turntooth. There are walking nightmares like the coqmare, kraken, shadow and sludgehammer. Or face pure nightmare entities like Hates, Fears and Despairs.
