This is the first of ComStar Games/Avenger Enterprises new line featuring an updated version of GDW's Traveller: The New Era.
This book extends the timeline forwards 46 years from the original setting starting point and updates the various empires and adds the newly formed 4th Imperium (the direct descendant from the original 3rd Imperium).
The book itself has no rules included but does included the method of how to update old UWP planet data to bring them into line with the setting's post destructive feeling.

| 10 / 10 | Golan2072 | The 1248 setting is IMHO the best Traveller millieu as it allows for different settings to co-exist (4th Imp vs. Wilds vs. ImpRegency vs. two variants of the Solomani) while all being relatively believable AND allowing travel between them. So, if your groups usually likes "classical" adventures, you run them in the 4th Imp, but if you want a short break from that and to go, say, to an archetypical TNE Wilds adventure, just go a few jumps and there you are. |
