Ecology & Culture is the second book in the Magical Society world building series, and provides advice on how to develop a world that includes magic, but is grounded in realism. The "interludes" (game fiction) are written from the perspective of Kieran the Bold, a new god being trained in the art of world creation. There are three chapters on Mapping Your World; one each on Ecology, Biomes, and Culture; an appendix, and an extensive bibliography.
The book is written for the d20 system, but is almost entirely devoid of game mechanics. Utilizes the OGL.
