Capes is a GM-less superhero game. The system uses bidding and dice mechanics to adjudicate narration of conflicts. Set of conflicts are represented by index cards, each with two d6s (of different colors) on them. Characters are created by pairing pre-generated modules and assigning score between traits.

| 2 + 4 | C.W.Richeson | Capes. Capes provides a GM-less group storytelling experience while retaining competitive game mechanics that essentially involve gambling story control elements on whether the other players can create scenes so cool you'll do anything to win. [ Read Review ] |
| 4 + 4 | Praetorian | Capes. Very possibly the hardest game I have reviewed. Capes is different than most other RPGs and requires a different type of play to really enjoy. Once you get that new style down though- its a good deal of fun! [ Read Review ] |

| 7 / 10 | JDCorley | The mechanics are a little too complicated for the enjoyment I get out of manipulating them. However, click-and-lock character generation for any setting such as supers in which archetypes are important is brilliant. This is where the "splat" proliferation of the 90s was heading before we got too annoyed with it to let it get there. |
