Stripped-down edition of the Hero 5th Edition rules. Most of what's been pared away are options, detailed explanations and examples; this is a fully playable rulebook and is missing only a handful of things from the Hero 5th rules systems.
Notes on This Edition
Not to be confused with the Hero Sidekick computer character creation program.
Note: In August 2006 Sidekick, Revised was released. Correcting spelling errors, and increasing the price of the hardcopy from 9.99 to 14.99. Beyond that the book is the same (Sku, ISBN, etc...)Game Editions | [ Add Edition | Edit Edition ] |

| 8 / 10 | BigJackBrass | Excellent as a quick reference at the game table or to introduce new players, for many people this is actually everything they'll need in a game (except for a setting). Unlike most "stripped down" introductory versions of games, "Sidekick" is a very full system in its own right. |
| 9 / 10 | ghost-angel | The Hero Rules distilled down to their essence. Few examples, no genre by genre info, and removing the most complex of the rules. This is an excellent book for beginers wanting to learn Hero, and veterans who don't want to carry the large main rulebook around. |
