| 4 + 4 | Lev Lafayette | Basic RolePlaying: The Chaosium Roleplaying System. A "thin glue" method unites several BRP games in one publication. Above average in almost all regards; it is well written, well designed, with quite a good content to page count and good scope. What does happen when Elric hits Cthulhu with Stormbringer? | 10 / 10 | Shaira | The classic "Chaosium System" finally in print as a single, universal RPG volume. If you've played RuneQuest, Stormbringer, Call of Cthulhu, or any one of Chaosium's games, you'll know this system. Easy access, intuitive, and elegant, this should be the beginning of a great line of new Chaosium products. |
| 10 / 10 | aknaton | This tome is a solid compilation of the Chaosium game system BRP. BRP is a simple to understand, easily mofified and elegant system. People often say it's simulationist, but I would say that it's logic. And the ease of the system makes it 'invisible' which then makes it possible to concentrate more one the role-playing part of the game. |
