| 6 / 10 | Simple Man | Nice use of random tables. Parts of the system are hard to follow (while it has many examples, he sometimes forgets to explain how the mechanics are supposed to work and thus you have to fiddle through the example to find out), and while the game says it's good for long-term play, this ends up being a long-term of one-shots with few recurring characters (not a "level 1 though level 36" type of game). I do like the character creation bits and Particular Strengths, but as before it's a chore to leaf through the book and find out how it all works. I also think the game would be more interesting if there were some GM advice on building your own Oracle, as using only the four presented limit the possible scope of the game severely. |
