Instead of only statting out a handful of specific dinosaurs (the approach used in the Monster Manuals), Stephen Inniss instead statted out the key groups at different size ranges, and thus covered a much wider range of dinosaur diversity. There was even some discussion of the faunal and floral changes between the different Periods (Triassic, Jurassic, Cretaceous) and stats for nondinosaurian critters from the Era.
