10 / 10JonAA game that truly deserves to become a classic RPG! Not just of the sci-fi genre but in general.
10 / 10kindalasFrom a unique setting, to massive story potential, to an extremely simple dice mechanic Eclipse Phase is a must have for any Science Fiction or Horror RPG fan.
10 / 10AleksanderThis is one of the best games I've ever seen. Great settings, simple mechanics, and morphing systems! It can be used for virtually any kind of play - action, horror, spying, politicial...
9 / 10voidstateBelievable, intriguing, near future sci-fi. Very cool.
9 / 10_Varyag_Extremely well thought out, in a rare and underused setting. Support the devs, buy the paper edition!
9 / 10sodcactusGood mechanic, nice layout and interesting concept. Recommended!
7 / 10TrippyHippyClearly a game inspired by the same material that inspired Steve Jackson's Transhuman Space a few years earlier - in turn an evolution from the Cyberpunk fad - but presented with a more Shadowrun-like graphical style. While it undoubtedly has brio and looks physically impressive, I find the density of text overwhelming at times. The percentile game system is solid rather than spectacular, although it's robust and versatile enough to allow for a wildly divergent variety of character forms - the major appeal of the game. It enjoys a lot of good support, and an enthusiastic fanbase, so it must be doing something right.
7 / 10tbrminsanityThere are many things I like about Eclipse Phase (EP) and a few things I hate. I'm going to list them bellow but I'm going to put the cons first as so I don't taint the pros later on. CONS: * The game system: ** Attributes are not intuitive enough and they could have gotten away with RPG standards like Str, Int, Wis, etc ** Type dice systems (most rolls are roll under, but opposition are roll over), pick a system and stick with it. ** Glossed over vehicle rules (granted vehicle combat is suppose to be rare) PROS: * The setting is one of the best I've ever seen in any RPG ** Well laid out backstory ** The right mix of SciFi, Horror, Fantasy, and Action ** Aliens that don't look humanoid (take that Star Trek!) ** AI is superior to humans in certain areas only. * The Game System ** Character creation is easy and quick ** The separation of mental and physical attributes, skills, and abilities push home themes of the game itself. ** The Rep system (I know people hate it). Reputation is everything in more Anarchist nations (eg. outer solar system) * Creative Commons Share Alike License ** You will not get sued for sharing this game with your friends ** It is about the community that helps build the system *** The EP community is new but very creatively charged (like the D&D community was when the OGL first came out) All in all I strongly recommend that people give this RPG a try (you won't be disappointed). If you have a chance also check out the EP forums to connect to the EP community ( http://www.eclipsephase.com/forum ). You will get captivated by the story this game has to tell.

5 + 5It that must not be namedEclipse Phase. Eclipse Phase is a bold new experiment in game economics and marketing, in addition to being a great RPG for fans of transhumanism and fairly hard SF.
4 + 4Lev LafayetteEclipse Phase. Impressive exploration of a near-future transhumanist setting that brings in elements of several genres in a challenging manner. The setting is simple, but relatively convincing. Greater detail in skill system would be preferable, better layout and sturdier physical product would also give this good product even higher values.
