9 / 10Zachary The FirstJust an excellent setting and supplement. The first half of the book is largely taken over with a number of options, to include new classes and a basic skill system. The second half is a great variant presentation on the classic Wilderlands fantasy. Perfect for sandbox setting fans, folks looking for more options for classic D&D/retro-clones, and for those wanting to pick the best of someone else's great ideas.
6 / 10FlexiMore a collection of campaign notes, background and rules. If you are expecting hex maps you are going to be sorely disappointed. Good overview of the setting. I did like the berserker class and the rogue variants.
3 / 10Sleeper

The first half of the book is character creation options, with classes, races, and a skill system. Seems functional, but nothing all that original. The magical orders are mildly interesting.

There's a small middle section with a few new monsters and magic items. Not much here, and nothing really stands out.

The last half of the book is setting information, a high-level summary of the Wilderlands. It's as tedious and boring as reading a dry history book.

3 / 10Simple ManAuthor builds an admittedly unbalanced game incompatible with Swords & Wizardry, Also gives a bog standard setting with the name of a hexcrawl. Lowered rating because it's nothing like what it says on the tin
