10 / 10ZooroosBeautiful book, sturdy edition, absolutely gameable from the get-go, and an outstanding reference guide of most of the novels' characters. The one caveat, though, is that it is completely landmined with spoilers, so read at your own peril! :D
10 / 10AhrimaniusAn amazing resource for your story. It also doubles up as a Fan Guide to the Dresdenverse.
10 / 10FalarNo game has excited me as much as this game. No game has inspired me as much as this game. It is the cream of the crop.
10 / 10madwabbitAn absolutely beautiful book, and superb companion for both a GM of the DFRPG and any fan of the Jim Butcher books, whether they play RPGs or not.
10 / 10myyrdneopiaAgain, this is probably the best companion to Your Story that one could ask for. Templates, examples of character sheets, defining aspects, all of these things that both tie in to your character as well as give you more insight into the realm of possibilities in the Dresdenverse. Complete with the same index as that of Your Story which covers both books, this is truly a remarkable addition. And it's not set in stone, but leaves room to grow, to be expanded upon, which is essential. Another outstanding job well done. Thanks again to Fred and the folks who brought this to completion, as well as Jim for letting us into his little world.
10 / 10Saint&SinnerAn excellent addition to any gaming library.
10 / 10tbatesonAll I can say is WOW!!! This book really does cover the full range of power levels available. But over and above that it also recognizes that there are some things out there that are so far above/below the power level any player can reach that stat blocks become irrelevant. It also leaves a lot of latitude for the GM to tailor the game to their personal style and preferences of their players. Congratulations to Evil Hat on a spectacular system and absolutely amazing production quantities. And to add real value, the side comments and discussions from our favorite characters really seals the deal.
10 / 10Tush HogFantastic!
9 / 10netwandererFantastic way to bring a non dresden reader up to speed on what they may be facing in game. Adds alot of direction for modifying the character templates to suit slightly different needs.
9 / 10HeregrimReally brings the characters to life as a fan of the books!
9 / 10MacShidheGreat production value and back ground material but I would have liked for some of the NPCs to be more stated out but I understand that that might have tied Mr. Butchers hands with the rest of the series.
9 / 10PaulieAmazing design and content
9 / 10TenzilA great guide to the setting, with content that can easily be reused in other modern-magic type games thanks to the descriptive nature of the FATE system.
8 / 10kustenjaegerA very useful resource for Dresden games and indeed understanding the series. Eagerly awaiting updates for later books. Reads very well and is very well produced
8 / 10zentenI found it rather useful. However, there are a few inconstancies with the base rulebook, and some of the stuff in there just doesn't seem very useful to me. All in all it's a good book, just not the same level as amazing that you find in Your Story.
8 / 10SavageHominidAn excellent resource for the Dresden-verse, as a well as a wealth ideas for a Dresden Files GM.
8 / 10Simple ManVery good info on the world, production values are great. I still don't see myself playing the game because of the complicated, lackluster system, though.
7 / 10FlexiI don't care much for the original fiction or the setting itself but this book is a nice resource on NPCs, factions and beasts for the DFRPG. Anything that has flying purple demon apes with incendiary poop has gotta have some value, right?!?
7 / 10PetemanAs much as I like this book, it's not that great a resource if you're looking for more generic pre-made opposition. There are an inordinate number of opponents listed that are basically summarized as "don't screw with these guys under any circumstances". More generic enemy sorcerers with suggested spell layouts would have been nice, as well as more generic grunt monsters. They wouldn't have had to do anything to break the "this is a really a statbook on how to kill monster in the Dresdenverse, just have a section called 'Having Fun With This' where they can stick the generic baddies or make stuff up out of whole cloth, and say "here's some monsters and villains we made up to add some variety"
7 / 10Shining DragonA good resource for Your Story.
6 / 10SamaelOur World gives you a good starting point for many entities.
