The new Trail of Cthulhu adventure, Dead White World, begins with an interesting premise – the world ended on 2nd of November 1936 …the players ought to be dead but have miraculously survived by virtue of being unconscious when the apocalypse struck. It is across this bleak landscape, investigators are charged with finding out what has happened and why they were spared. Needless, to say, they are part of a larger intrigue although, happily, the players do not wake up at the end of the scenario – it is a dark, cold, grim world. . All things considered, it is a superb adventure and does deliver a very distinctive “Cthulhu experience” sure to jolt even the most knowledgeable and seasoned of players.
4 + 5VrylakosThe Dead White World. A break from the typical "save the world from unmentionable horror!" plot that typifies the usual Cthulhu scenario, this set of three linked scenarios presents the beginning of the End of the World, Mythos-style.
