10 / 10	NPC New World Order	Earthdawn has long been my favorite game. I've run games in the default setting, and using the cosmology of the games to inform other settings.
9 / 10	kaserak	I've loved Earthdawn ever since I bought it new back in '97. I'm not sure why so many people say the mechanics of the game are too complex or confusing. The step system is pretty basic and we've had no problems with it. It's actually a nice change from the worn out d20 games!
9 / 10	demoss	Heroic fantasy done right. All the silly tropes of the genre are there, but actually make sense. Aggressive animals? Explained. Dungeons full of treasure? Explained. Advancement of heroic characters? Explained.
7 / 10	Allandaros	Nice fantasy setting, but the mechanic's too complicated for good playability. Bah, humbug!
7 / 10	Mechante_Anemone	Great setting, painful system -- way too heavy. The rank system controls average, but not variance so odds vary unreliably. First edition illustrations are much higher quality than 2nd ed.
