10 / 10Tommy BrownellThe only thing keeping this from being a perfect 10 is Angel, and how much cooler it is than Buffy.
10 / 10EmprintProbably the finest licensed roleplaying game ever published. Great writing, great rules and beautiful production.
10 / 10Web WarlockOne of the best systems ever.
10 / 10Craig OxbrowDoes everything it should with style.
9 / 10Big WillyPerfectly done. If you know how to use it, it leaks Buffy all over the table.
9 / 10MikeythornWritten wittily and well enough to be read for its own enjoyment and with rules that are simple, sensible and action-orientated Buffy is a complete treat of a game. I ran a short campaign for a group of non-Buffy fans who had a blast despite their lack of canon knowledge and who are eager to return to Sunnydale for more. And I can't wait to join them.
9 / 10PiestrioIf you love Buffy, you need this book. If you don't, buy it and you will.
8 / 10Simple ManRevised - In comparison to the original, the revised edition is a marked improvement. An extra 25 pages of material (rewriting the Cast to show Season-by-Season advancement) and the additional material for seasons 6 and 7 make this book a great revision. Other than a few editing mistakes, a brilliant RPG and fan guide.
8 / 10AhrimaniusA lot of Fun
8 / 10hackmastergeneralI'm not a fan of Cinematic Unisystem - for me, its TOO easy. That said, this is a fantastic book. If you like Buffy, you will LOVE this book, if not this game. First, its a handy show resource. It has quotes, season breakdowns, stats of all the main characters, and pictures galore. It has high production value, and is written in Buffyspeak. The book BLEEDS Buffy. I'm not a huge fan of many of the mechanics, but the book is amazingly well done, and it FEELS like Buffy, so its deserving of all the praise it gets.
8 / 10JDCorleyA solid book with an innovative approach to game balance - necessary when the source material has such a casual approach to the normal "power levels" that gamers are more concerned with.
8 / 10OliveiraGood game. Covers the show in an admirabel way.
7 / 10DrFaustA strong contender for the coveted title of "Contains everything you need; just add dice."
7 / 10SkiorhtCaptures the feel of the show pretty well and has some fairly cool mechanics on handling widely differing PC power levels. Good game if you are a fan, though it does straddle the fence between TV show and setting emulation a bit.
7 / 10SleeperI never in a million years imagined that someone could write a rulebook in sustained Buffyspeak without making my ears bleed.
6 / 10TrippyHippyFun while it lasted, but without a high profile current IP, how relevant is it anymore?
6 / 10MadelineThe system is inane: rolling 1d10 against some ill-defined target number doesn't offer any excitement to offset the time it takes to do. Most characters will have to spend drama points to do anything really interesting. However, the encouragement the game offers to use drama points for plot twists is a neat thing, and the rules for ganging up are a good idea. The sample characters in the book are blah, but the art and the quotes from the TV show and the writing are all good.
3 / 10jeremywolf81VASTLY overrated, a rehashed simplified (stupified) system for an IP that's grown tired and old.
0 / 10Doc HalloweenI have not played nor read it yet.

5 + 5~BABuffy the Vampire Slayer Roleplaying Game. Buffy will delight just about any enthusiast of the TV show but may not interest those who don't like or aren't familiar with the series.
5 + 5Dan DavenportBuffy the Vampire Slayer Roleplaying Game. Is this the elusive "Best Game Evar"? Nope. Is it a flawless game? Nope. Is it the best licensed game I have yet encountered? Absolutely.
