9 / 10TancredReally does require no prep, one of the cleverest new games I've bought.
9 / 10JDCorleyAn outstanding game (especially for the price) with the best use of random situation generation since they invented wandering monster tables.
8 / 10UruushI like the Oracle system for this game. Great for a no-prep S&S pick-up game.
7 / 10YokiboyI love the game in concept, but in practise the ration of prep to play seems rather low, as my group spends too long on the Oracle part of the game.
7 / 10Waldo PepperGreat pick up game. The book itself is a bit hard to follow.
7 / 10ThanuirI have only played my personal hack of the game, which works well and is quite similar to the original, so I can safely say that the original is at least good.
6 / 10Simple ManNice use of random tables. Parts of the system are hard to follow (while it has many examples, he sometimes forgets to explain how the mechanics are supposed to work and thus you have to fiddle through the example to find out), and while the game says it's good for long-term play, this ends up being a long-term of one-shots with few recurring characters (not a "level 1 though level 36" type of game). I do like the character creation bits and Particular Strengths, but as before it's a chore to leaf through the book and find out how it all works. I also think the game would be more interesting if there were some GM advice on building your own Oracle, as using only the four presented limit the possible scope of the game severely.

3 + 5amnesiackIn a Wicked Age. In A Wicked Age is a quick-playing, situation-driven sword & sorcery game good for both short and long-term play.
3 + 3Lev LafayetteIn a Wicked Age. Superb innovative system for scenario generation covering main characters and elements, nicely supplemented by competitive interests. Motivational-based attributes works fairly well for most situations with addition of the "particular strength". Enjoyable in actual play, perhaps best for single-shot scenarios.
