Uses a sheet of graph paper to turn a simple monster reaction roll into an extended check. Different responses are blocked out on the sheet (like talk or run), and two axes are designated (fear and anger). Random rolls and player's reactions move the monster's response across the grid. Inspired by a diagram of dog reactions in E.C. Zeeman's "Catastrophe Theory" article, which appeared in April 1976 issue of Scientific American.
