The Icewind Dale Trilogy is noted for being the first appearance of the iconic Advanced Dungeons & Dragons character, the dark elf Drizzt Do'Urden. The three books in the trilogy are The Crystal Shard, Streams of Silver, and The Halfling's Gem. They were sold together as the Collector's Edition, a single omnibus hardcover; and as a Gift Set, which collected the three books together within a slipcase.
The novels were originally sold separately as books 1 to 3 in the Icewind Dale Trilogy, and later as books IV to VI in the Legend of Drizzt series.
