The core of ToT is two scenarios, "The Trail of Tsathogghua" and "The Curse of Tsathogghua", which are loosely connected. The original editions of ToT also include a third, unconeccted scenario, "The Haunted House".
Each scenario has the potential to take very long time -- in a good way -- to complete. Handouts and red herrings galore.
Notes on This Edition
This new edition only reprints the two connected scenarios, "Trail" and "Curse". There's some new background on "Greenland and Its Inhabitants" and a slightly expanded introduction. The whole book has been reset and revised.
This book is the first of the "Fright Night" Cthulhu books. These were each short adventure books, sold as saddlestitched 48- or 64-page books, with the idea being that each adventure would take just a day to run. The adventures in the Compact Trail or actually a bit long for this. In any case the line was soon abandoned.
