Another splatbook for Mage, both editions of the Akashic Brotherhood's Tradition Book have the usual offerings: in-character explication of the Tradition's history, beliefs and practices, sample characters, and some new magical rotes and items.
Notes on This Edition
This, the Akashic Brotherhood's first splatbook, has the unenviable distinction of perpetrating some particularly grievous stereotypes, fallacies and over-simplifications of the cultural and mystical traditions that went into the mix of creating the Tradition; the most evident of which is the mis-spelling and "fortune cookie"-ization of the concept dharma as "drahma." This was even pointed out and reconciled within the context of the
Mage setting in
Tradition Book: Akashic Brotherhood.
Like the other entries in
Mage's first run of splatbooks, this one has a distinctive dark gray metallic cover.
