Game Summary

Zenobia: Fantasy Roleplaying in the Desert Kingdoms is set in a fantastic verison of the Near East (c. 260 AD), where Saracen tribes and the oasis of Palmyra mix with sphinxes and scorpion-men. Characters are defined by their culture, attributes (might, fate, hits, craft, and learning), previous experience (skills combined with a chance for additional wealth), and social class (which grant a skill, and a bonus to craft and learning). There is extensive background information, including timelines, a desciption of the various languages, countries, tribes, mercenaries, religions and cults, and lists of gods and historically suitable names. Tasks involve rolling 2d6 and adding the appropriate attribute, then comparing to a diffculty number. Adventures can be set in labyrinths, the wilderness, or a city.
