Kpachoapmee: Krasnoarmeets -- The Role-Playing Game of the Unglamorous Parts of the Battle of Stalingrad is a miniatures game about new Red Army troops patrolling in the mud to northwest of Stalingrad and waiting for the orders to attack the Germans around the city. The thematic center of the game is the transformation of the new recruits into battle-hardened soldiers. Characters are part of a platoon, and are assigned missions that range from capturing a prisoner to interrogate, to scouting out enemy lines. Missions start at the Base, and travel through the Trail (a maze of trenches and observation posts, that may involve wandering encounters) to No Man's Land (where they have to fight the mud and possible enemies).
Uses a 3"x5" index card for a character sheet. Awareness detect threats, Aggression is used to attack, Steadiness is calmness under fire, Motivation is used to go into dangerous situations. Characters choose the other members of their unit that are most important to them, and measure mental strain using Stress. Combat has tactical elements for support elements like hauling an ally or taking cover, but reactions and the chance of injury are based on the cumulative volume of fire not specific attack rolls. Characters under too much Stress have Episodes.
