Game Summary

Advanced Edition Companion adds new supplemental material to the Labyrinth Lord game, including new races, classes, spells, monsters, and magic items. This material is largely drawn from Advanced Dungeons & Dragons, and is intended to bring the richness and options of that game to the Basic D&D ruleset, without porting over the esoteric and rarely used rules like the weapon vs. armor class table or the complexities of initiative.

This game is also contained in Advanced Labyrinth Lord.

7 / 10FlexiGets rid of AD&D's fiddly & unnecessary rules but I cannot help feel that more content could have been included. It is though for the best part, largely successful in imparting the flavour of AD&D for use with L&L. I don't see why name levels were not used or why an 'Age at Death' table was needed at all.
