Game Summary

From the publisher:
Bestiary Fantastic brings over 550 pre-statted creatures to your 54 Fantasy game. These are the classic creatures of fantasy, from the Ahuitzotl of Central America, through Penanggalan of oriental myth to Zombie of European folklore and movie myth. These are the monsters of mythology the world over, giving you access to as broad a base of monsters as could be crammed into a single book. Creatures are included of all experience levels to challenge your players, from novice nuisances to grand master terrors that will haunt your group's PCs for years to come.

Each creature is fully statted out; there is no need to look up various abilities as all the details for each are at your fingertips and the in-game stats you need are contained on a single page. Most creatures have their own illustration, and many have Racial Stat information to aid in building "experienced" or customized versions or even allowing their use as player races. These aren't only just stat blocks though; each creature type contains additional information to help spark your imagination as to how it can fit into your game, and what it would be doing there.

Also included is an advanced section on setting up encounters for your game, as well as a conversion section, allowing you to take OGL/d20 creatures and convert them for use in your 54 game.

This book is designed for use with the version 1.2 rules, but will work with earlier versions as well.

2 + 2Darren MacLennan. Pretty much the Monster Manual, except rewritten with a new system. Why use what's free when you can pay $12 for somebody else's card-based system?
