Darling Grove: A game of suburban drama and friendship is inspired by "primetime soaps" like One Tree Hill, and the players take the role of a group of best friends who have moved to the suburbs. Characters are defined by their background, three goals (health, wealth, job, or love), and which of the other PCs are their girlfriends. The game is broken into a number of scenes, during which each character tries to achieve one of their goals, which may be in conflict with the goal of another character. The game uses a dice pool mechanic with both cooperative and competitive elements, where dice are allocated to aid or hinder one of several goals during each scene.
Notes on This Edition
This is the 24 Hour RPG version, which was an entry in the first of Ron Edwards' "Ronny" contests (using the "suburban" and "girlfriend" keywords). 11 pages, free, available
