Game Summary

This durable, four-panel Deluxe Dungeon Master’s Screen, lavishly adorned with illustrations inside and out, will enchant and inspire players and the Dungeon Master. Its landscape design allows the Dungeon Master to easily see beyond and reach over the screen, even as it keeps die rolls and notes hidden from players. Tables inside provide essential support for the three pillars of play–combat, exploration, and interaction–to Dungeon Masters of all skill levels.

3 + 3jontheman. All in all the D&D 5th Edition DM?s screen is a little disappointing.

6 / 10stuffisSturdy, admirably readable, properly oriented (i.e., landscape). But the tables are sparse and (let's diplomatically say) idiosyncratically selected, the Condition Summary -- which you've got right there in your Basic Rules -- takes up a startling amount of space, and the 'Something Happens!' table has entries for both 'a meteor appears' and 'a strange star appears,' which is downright embarrassing. The player side is generic D&D art rather than something useful; when do we get a combination DM screen/initiative tracker? Why not a single panel of useful player-facing information? Download and print a useful fanmade screen -- they are plentiful and free of charge -- and cover this one with it. 6/10 for production values.
