In 2046, the robot revolt is over, and the robots have won. The Earth has been divided into eighteen zones, each controlled by a computer super-intelligence. In some of the zones humans are extinct, in others slaves, in others still wanderers in a ruined landscape. But some humans still resist their robot overlords.
