Bloody Basic is a simplified version of the sprawling old school/d20 System mash up, Blood & Treasure. Bloody Basic is intended to serve as an introduction to the larger system and supports characters up to 6th level, but also has a few tweaks like simpler encumbrance, and the automatic acquisition of a random retainer at 6th level.

The Classic Edition has the classes, races, spells, and monsters of traditional old school D&D, including the human, elf, dwarf, and halfling races; and the fighter, cleric, magic-user, and thief classes.
