Character Generation and some basic rules, although nothing telling you how to use skills, have fights or cast spells. Characters have 20 attributes(!) ranging from 1-20, and can can be warriors, wizards, or a bit of both. It has fairly crunchy rules for things like disease, divine intervention etc, and lots of encounter tables for various environments (although the creatures wouldn't actually be described until vol 4!).
