The creator of Glorantha, the founder of Chaosium, and later the founder of Issaries.

Stafford worked with Chaosium for almost 25 years, before breaking away to better pursue Gloranthan publication.

From about 1998-2004 Stafford actively published Hero Wars (later HeroQuest) through Issaries, but in-between a year-long stint in Mexico and the downturn in the industry, Issaries' publication came to a halt.

Stafford still runs Issaries, but now as a licensing agency, and is working on fiction in the world of Glorantha.
