d6 System

West End Game's core gaming system. For much of the original company's life it was used exclusively for Star Wars because of concerns over whether LucasFilm or West End owned it.

Toward the end of the original West End's life it was released as a generic toolkit. The modern West End has made even more extensive use of d6, making it the core of their game line.

There are two variants of the d6 system, of which d6 Classic is the more common (and the one that was used by Star Wars).

Subsidiary systems are: d6 Classic, d6 Legend, OpenD6.
