4 / 10SleeperInstead of getting a +2 to hit every other level, your fighter now gets a +1 to hit every level. Basically equivalent to the old version, but the new tables are bigger and more complex, and improvements are smoothed out and more gradual.

Which I don't think is a good thing. A lot of studies have shown that people respond better to infrequent but bigger rewards than to steady but small rewards. That's why going up a level, after a dozen sessions where nothing changes, is fun; while getting a minor to bonus to a percentile skill after every session feels routine and boring. So I like the old way, where the classes might have a big jump in their save vs. poison or THAC0 every couple levels. Still, mostly harmless.
