The definitive horror roleplaying game, based on the writing of H.P. Lovecraft and other contributors to the Lovecraft mythos, such as August Derleth, Brian Lumley, and Ramsey Campbell.
Uses a variant of Chaosium's BRP game system, with special rules for Sanity.
Notes on This Edition
The third edition of
Call of Cthulhu has been somewhat reorganized. Now there are two core rulebooks: a 32-page Investigators' Book and a 64-page Keeper's Book. The 32-page Sourcebook for the 1920's also makes a reappearance. Also included are: a world map, character silhouettes, and a book of character sheets.
This was the last edition of
Call of Cthulhu sold in a box, and the only one where the interior books did not have cardstock covers.
