The heroes have stopped at a favored inn within a major city for a little rest. There they find themselves offered the task of protecting the Viscount Laomedon and his niece Ophelia for a few days, until the viscount's men return.

Of course the protection is required because of a family feud, and the Viscount himself is looking for a diary that's going to lead to even more interference, and the City Watch may not be that pleased with the results ...
