Game Summary | [ Edit Main Info ] |
GURPS Traveller: Planetary Survey 1 — Kamsii the Pleasure Planet is the first of a series of worldbooks that each detail a single planet in the GURPS Traveller universe. Kamsii is a theme park on a planetary scale which is centrally located in the Core Sector. The book provides four different looks of the corporation running the planet, from mild and benevolent, to cutthroat and corporate, run down and seedy, or downright sinister.
This game is also contained in GURPS Traveller: 25th Anniversary Set.

Reasonable overview of a theme park planet. But it's definitely an overview, with few concrete details. The locations are just generally described (this continent has some Authenticist villages on this side, there's some kind of Droyne colony elsewhere...), there's only a world map, and there are no named NPCs.
But the real problem is what do you do with Kamsii? It's too controlled to make an interesting adventure location, there's no natural conflicts or factions, and there's no need for a booklet if the PCs just stop for a vacation. The various suggestions for getting the PCs involved are weak, and don't really take advantage of the unique features of the planet. (Corporate espionage or hunting creatures for a zoo can happen anywhere.)
