What some would term a metaplot book, Blood Treachery recounts the Order of Hermes' second Massassa War against its traitorous lost house, now Clan Tremere of Vampire: the Masquerade fame.

The book covers a timeline of the war, presented in acts as a Greek tragedy -- including an expositive chorus -- as well as discussion on running a game around the events of Blood Treachery, plus game mechanics for mages drinking vampire blood, and possibly becoming vampires themselves.
